Congratulations to Prof Adam Elshaug elected as Australia’s member of the Scientific Council of the International Agency for Research on Cancer, WHO!

At the 66th Session of the WHO/IARC Governing Council, held on 15–16 May 2024 Professor Adam Elshaug was elected as Australia’s representative member of the Scientific Council (SC) of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), for a four-year term.

The principal responsibilities of SC members are the evaluation of the scientific activities of the Agency and the provision of scientific advice to the Governing Council, and to the IARC Director.
